An engaging and comprehensive board and cards game that educates both children and adults on gender-based violence, fostering awareness and prevention in an interactive and enjoyable manner.
How to play
Step 1
To start, roll the dice to decide where to begin moving on the board. The number on the dice shows how many steps to take and where to place thier game piece. It also tells you whic particular Gender-Based Violence (GBV) scenerio/situation They need to provide solution to. They are different GBV scenerios/situations for each character you choose to play. They are listed in the booklet inside the box.
Step 2
Then the leader or player reads out from the booklet insise the box, the gender-based violence scenerio that matches the dice number.
Step 3
After which the player would then have to give a solution to the GBV scenerio by selecting from the stack of cards he/she has. The player chooses what group of cards to play with from the five groups of cards available. This is determine by the player persona chosen by the player. This is fully explained in the booklet inside the box.
Step 4
Now, to the very fun part! The player follows the card’s instructions like “move 5 steps forward” or “go back 3 steps”. But be careful not to pick a card that makes you go backward or land on an animal, which makes you go backwards. If you land on a rope or ladder or similar things, then you are lucky to move extra steps forward!
Step 5
The next player takes their turn, doing the same things
Step 6
The first player to reach the finish line wins! Remember, you have 30 seconds or 1 minute (you decide) to finish your turn, using the timer starting when you roll the dice.
